Bing Pipe

A less common "Bing" pattern pipe. This one just goes to show that a pipe without a maker's mark can be a great pipe! This is an estate pipe which I have restored so that it can be enjoyed once again. It has turned out to be very nice indeed!
The bowl has been thoroughly cleaned, re-waxed and polished. The chamber has been reamed to remove the old build up of carbon. The stem has been cleaned and polished. It has come up just like new! All of the airways have been cleaned out using isopropyl alcohol to remove the old traces of tar and to sterilise it.
A "Bing" pipe is characterised by its particularly long stem, so named because it was a favourite shape of pipe used by Bing Crosby. This long stem makes for a cooler smoke.
